There is nothing more wonderful, than what it feels like to be in the presence of such beauty, wisdom and grace.

My Poetry (2011)

It's simple, i write because i love it.

Under the Moonlight (2011)
By Jodie Stewart

I will not lie and pretend this is a silent night,
For fight the moons brightness shines through the dark of night.
The blackened sky is speckled with few stars, here and there,
Masking the beauty of the daylight, heavens not willing to share.

It shines so effortlessly through the fog, a halo unbroken
A tale of its own pure and wonder, for now, remains unspoken.
A whisper softly through the trees shivers through the world,
A story: not for the ears of those who cannot simply tell.

It is what it is, for what’s done is done; yet nothing remains in stone.
The beauty through the blackened sky is one of a kind to show.
Constantly changing, imitating, conditioning and a simply yearn,
To illustrate the beauty of what’s inside, two words: desires turn.

Give thanks to the courage and grace, inspiration merely more,
A dance step and little turn, an old dress weary and torn.
It's repetition, again and again, spinning round and sound,
Hurry, hide and close your eyes the daylights coming round.

My Hell Hole (2011)

By Jodie Stewart ©

The spotlight shook and danced like the sun,
Here we go again with the teardrops from above.
I wanted to disdain you, jaded, one hand in glove
Clenched my fists, eyes locked unto your face,
Yet all I mustered was a simple shove.

Heat emits below the wooden floors burning my feet
A figment of my imagination runs beneath me
As white as a sheet
I scream a sound so deep, and kneel
Evaporated into my fog, my heart begins to beat

More like thud! Longing and so weary
Her eyes betray her soul
A playground of emotional upheaval remains unsolved.

My Friend – Nadine (2011)

By Jodie Stewart ©

She is the sweetest berry,
Bright red, as pure as a rose,
A love so kind and innocent,
Her heart: in which it shows.

She is the most beautiful swan,
Dancing across the lake,
Her fingertips brushed softly pink,
Her heart shall never break.

She is the sunshine on a cloudy day,
As pretty as a bird,
Her courage hidden beneath her wings,
Her heart as strong, unstirred.

I know she is so precious and kind,
And of the sweetest deed,
Her smile lights up the saddest times,
In the life in which I lead.

She is a glorious wonder,
To me, more than words can say,
A friend to me forever there,
In my life forever she will stay.

She is my friend, one of the best,
I will ever know,
For her love for life and heart of gold,
Is one of a kind to show.

Raise the curtain; raise your glass,
For Nadine is a most precious being,
I wish for her only happiness and love
And to always follow her dreams.

A Bud in Summer (2011)

By Jodie Stewart ©

Nestled lightly into this garden,
Spring is in the air
A seed sown deeply in the lining
Heavens little prayer
A lady beetle so small and pure
Rustling over the petals
Of a lily, scent so sweet and misty
A smell so barely there.

A treasure round the corner
So many secrets to unfold
A garden full of hope and love
Ready to be told
So small and precious to her
It’s safe and locked away
A soul of a little bud
Waiting to make the day.

Spring is full of magic
Fairies dancing on the leaves
A smell so pure and wonderful
Hidden amongst the trees
She danced amongst the lilies
Flew high above the stars
She saw a dozen butterflies
Hidden in disguise.

A masquerade of wonder
The colour began to fade
The little girl was frightened
For she wanted all to stay
Like the drizzle of rain
It was subtle scarred and sore
The bud beneath the surface
Came afloat unsown and more.

Many a day left without sun
The bud sat still, waiting
Too pure a little wonder
The colour slowly unfading
Left in spirit with some others
A body of heart and soul
A group of little unsewn buds
awaiting for their call.

One Moment (2011)

By Jodie Stewart ©

It’s that one little moment, the touch and warm embrace
Waking in the morning with my eyes locked on your face
Those warming wishes and kind words you so effortlessly give
A simple smile lighting up the world in which we live.

It’s that one little moment where your heart beats on my chest
The warm breath pulsating through the tiny hairs on my neck
A simple setting, by the lake, your lips pressed onto mine,
The first of many that id give for anytime.

It’s that one little message or text with ‘I care’
A gem so precious to my heart, you are so very rare
A simple word known by all and felt by few I know
Its that one little ‘your gorgeous’ and I feel like I’m at home.

Even when the clouds heighten
you are here and the world brightens.
